At BCYMP, we believe that one consistent, caring relationship can change the course of a young person’s life.

Every week across Brookings County, BCYMP Mentors and Mentees meet for moments that build confidence, spark joy, and create lasting growth. Whether it’s baking cookies, shooting hoops, walking the nature trails, or just talking about life, these simple moments are powerful. They help young people feel seen, supported, and capable of handling what comes their way.

Your gift makes those moments possible. It provides training for new mentors, helps cover the cost of activity passes to places like the Children’s Museum and the Wellness Center, and supports staff who make sure every match is safe, supported, and thriving.

Because of generous donors like you, BCYMP serves more than 700 people each year, offering both one-on-one and group mentoring opportunities, that strengthen our whole community. Every dollar raised during South Dakota Day of Giving helps us match more youth with caring adults and give those relationships the support they need to flourish.
