Founded by Irish immigrants and Irish-Americans 66 years ago, the Philadelphia Ceili Group, a 501c3 nonprofit, has been dedicated to preserving Irish culture in America from Brigid’s Cross-making workshops to Irish language lessons, from concerts, monthly ceili dances, music sessions and theater, to an annual festival celebrating Irish traditional music and dance.

Why We Need Your Help

The Ceili Group’s annual Festival of Traditional Irish Music and Dance, the longest running traditional Irish music festival in the US, will celebrate our 51st festival this year and we are looking forward to once again bring the best in Irish traditional music, dance, and culture to the greater Delaware Valley October 10 - 12, 2025 at the Commodore Barry Arts and Culture Center, the Irish Center in Philadelphia.

Fundraising, especially for the Festival, is a 24/7/365 fact of life for small nonprofits like ours. We’re blessed with volunteers to help but we continue to see a rise in all other expenses associated with a three day Festival.

It would make financial sense for us to raise our Festival ticket prices this year, but our board has made the decision not to do that. We want to make our annual festival accessible to as many people as possible. Times are tough. We don’t want to force our long-time attendees to have to decide between spending money on necessities and coming back, as they do year after year, to hear the music, dance the dances, and participate in all the Festival brings to our community.

Your support is needed in order to help us keep our ticket prices affordable

Any donation, small or large, can help us achieve our goal. Gifts of $250 or more can make you a festival sponsor with your name posted prominently on all our signage, social media, on screens at the festival itself and on the festival portion of our website. Gifts of $500 and more will, along with festival sponsorship and its benefits, give you a year-long shoutout out on the PCG website.
