Accounting may lose its status as a "professional degree," widening the opportunity gap for underrepresented students who lack resources, mentors, and career exposure. The Dallas/Fort Worth Alliance of Black Accountants combats this issue through empowerment, talent development, and barrier removal.

⭐ The DFW-ABA Student Symposium: An immersive experience bringing together hundreds of students from more than 25 colleges. students receive career coaching, resume support, mock interviews, leadership development, and direct access to employers ready to hire emerging talent. For many attendees, this is their first real exposure to what’s possible for their future.

⭐ The Day-One Readiness Cohort: A six-week program designed to help students move confidently from classroom to career. This cohort provides students with the guidance, structure, and support many do not receive elsewhere.

⭐ Adulting 101 for Young Professionals: An expanded learning series covering the real-life skills often overlooked from financial literacy, wellness, credit awareness, navigating workplace culture, home ownership basics, and more. These sessions strengthen the whole professional, ensuring that students and early-career members have what they need beyond the job search.

Since our founding, we have awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to students who are often the first in their families to pursue business or accounting careers. Your gift helps us increase our reach and respond to a growing financial need, especially as students work harder to stay enrolled and move forward in their programs.
