This year, we’re proud to honor Eric Tiberi and the South Cove Community Health Center, and the late Julie Lee, former Vice Chair of Kwong Kow’s Board of Directors.

Kwong Kow Chinese School was founded in 1916 by Chinatown merchants, making it one of the oldest Chinese cultural and educational organizations in New England.

Our organization was founded on the mission of establishing an educational institution to help maintain Chinese heritage among those who have immigrated to the United States. For over a century, Kwong Kow has helped immigrant families assimilate into broader society while preserving their sense of culture and identity by providing quality, affordable academic and cultural programming.

We seek to continue serving families in Boston Chinatown and the Greater Boston area by ensuring our programs remain accessible to all. This gives our youth opportunities to engage in academically rigorous, physically engaging, and culturally enriching programs. In doing so, we aim to uplift our local community while sharing Chinese language, history, and culture.
