In Zambia, only 3% of students ever reach university, not because they lack talent, but because they can’t afford it. This year, Rise & Read Zambia 2025 is raising $10,000 to support 20 university students with full scholarships and 120+ young readers with books, mentorship, and the support they need to build strong literacy foundations.

Students like Patrick, who lost his mother at 8, became our first scholarship recipient and now he’s a doctor helping others rise.
