2026 Last Fridays Makers Market Artist Application

The Hillsborough Arts Council hosts Last Fridays Makers Markets on the Old Orange County Courthouse Lawn at 104 E King St during our Last Fridays & the Art Walk. These happen once a month, 5:30-8:30pm, May - October!

Last Fridays Makers Markets are community art fairs, perfect for established and emerging artists alike, dedicated to showcasing: 

1. Local artists/makers who offer original, handmade work

2. A limited number of local organizations, community groups, and/or nonprofits offering good works, activities, and services to the public

3. Special arts programming & entertainment, family activities/crafts, and community collaborations, brought to you by HAC!

This application is designed for community artists/makers of all levels of experience! If you qualify as a local organization, community group, or nonprofit, or a performing artist, please reach out directly to Amanda at [email protected] for more information on how you can participate in Last Fridays. Community group and performing artist slots are scheduled separately and at the discretion of the HAC team.

When applying for an artist/maker spot at Last Fridays, please note the following:

• New applications will be reviewed for the upcoming market around the 15th of each month, April-September 2026, by a panel of experienced artists and market professionals. If you would like to be eligible for an upcoming Last Fridays market, be sure to submit your application by the 15th of the month prior.

• The non-refundable one-time application fee for 2026 is $20.00. Pricing is subject to change in future programming years.

• When submitting your application fee, you have an opportunity to tip the Givebutter platform. If you would like opt out of this, please reset the suggested tip to 0% before submitting your payment.

• We do not accept payment in the form of checks.

• Once you are an Approved Vendor, you will automatically qualify to reserve a spot in any 2026 Last Fridays Makers Market as space allows. Only one application approval is needed per calendar year. 

• Becoming an Approved Vendor does not guarantee a market spot. Once approved, you will still need to reserve your spot in each monthly market.
