Join us to make a difference for the Amigos community!

The Amigos Fun Run is the biggest fundraising event all year for Friends of Amigos (FOA)! All money goes towards enriching the education for students and promoting the Amigos community.

Examples from this school year include:

Community and school support: Hispanic Heritage Night, ice skating in Kendall Square, Amigos Cultural Night, Year-End Fiesta, class field trips, author/illustrator visits, support for families experiencing financial hardship, and more!
Educational support: Educational software subscriptions, classroom materials, >75 bilingual library books, art supplies, and much more!
School Spirit: >100 Amigos t-shirts for new students, >50 Amigos hoodies for rising middle schoolers, and more!

We rely on your generosity to make all of this possible!

Suggested donations:

Minimum suggested donation: $20 - Single runner, $40 family
$50 - Pays for 6 students to rent ice skates at the Amigos Family Skate
$100 - Pays for 15 students to go on a field trip to the Museum of Science
$500 - Pays for Spanish magazine subscriptions for 8 classrooms

P.S. There is a core group of Amigos parents and caregivers who run together and call their team Amigos Flash. Why? Because of the superhero The Flash! (except we aren't very fast...)

Ejemplos de este año escolar incluyen:

Apoyo comunitario y escolar: Noche de herencia hispana, patinaje sobre hielo en Kendall Square, fiesta de fin de año, noche cultural de Amigos, visita del autor/ilustrador, apoyo a familias con dificultades económicas, y mucho más!
Apoyo de clase: suscripciones a software educativo, más de 75 libros de biblioteca, materiales de arte, partituras y mucho más.
Espíritu escolar: >100 camisetas de Amigos para nuevos estudiantes, >50 sudaderas de Amigos para estudiantes que pasan a la escuela secundaria, ¡y mucho más!

Donaciones sugeridas:

Donación mínima sugerida: $20 (corredor individual), $40 (familia)
$50 — Cubre el alquiler de patines sobre hielo para 6 estudiantes en el evento «Amigos Family Skate»
$100 — Cubre una excursión al Museo de la Ciencia para 15 estudiantes
$500 — Cubre suscripciones a revistas en español para 8 aulas

P.D. Hay un grupo de padres y cuidadores que corren juntos y llaman a su equipo Amigos Flash. ¿Por qué? ¡Por el superhéroe The Flash! (excepto que no somos muy rápidos...)
