At Biking for Babies, we believe that transforming the hearts and minds of young adults is crucial for renewing the culture of life. We also believe that mothers facing unplanned pregnancies will choose life if given the spiritual, emotional, material, and financial support to do so.

Our mission puts those beliefs into action. Over our 15 year history, we've engaged 297 young adults, partnered with 175 pregnancy resource centers, maternity homes, and pro-life medical clinics nationwide, and raised over $2.5 million to help families facing unplanned pregnancies.

And we do a little bit of biking, too.

This July, 9 teams of young adults will bike 9 different 600-mile cycling routes across portions of the US. This National Ride (our name for the whole endeavor) is a combo of mission trip and pilgrimage. These 80+ young adults, whom we call missionaries, will pray for mothers in unplanned pregnancies, share stories from pregnancy centers with people they meet along the way, hold events in various cities to gather communities around this cause, fundraise for this mission, and deepen their relationship with God as they go.

As you can imagine, each team has a variety of material needs in order for the National Ride to be a success. We anticipate the 2026 National Ride to cost around $30,000 total. Listed here are just a few of the material costs (divide by 9 for a rough estimate of the cost per team; any surplus donations will be used for other aspects of our missionary formation program).

$13,500 - Support crew vehicle rentals ($1,500 per team)
$7,250 - Food for missionary teams ($800 per team)
$2,200 - Hydration, first aid, and miscellaneous supplies ($245 per team)
$2,100 - Formation booklets (called the Life Guide) (~$230 per team)
$800 - Digital mapping software and printed maps (~$90 per team)
$425 - National Ride event promo kit (~$40 per team)
