Location: Joe Eakes Park, Kure Beach, NC

Date: Saturday, October 3rd, 2026 (Rain date is Sunday, October 4th)

Time: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Brackets determined the week prior to the event.)

The Heglar Open is a fundraiser to support the needs of the Kure Beach Fire Department in honor of the town's longest serving Fire Chief - Harold Heglar. Moreover, it is a community event full of pickleball fun, barbecue lunch, and time with friends. Find a partner (Note: teams must be comprised of either two women OR a woman and a man - no two-man teams allowed). Join us for a great cause and lots of fun. Each team is guaranteed at least 4 matches, and there will be prizes!
