2026 Junior High State Finals
Dear CHSRA Junior High Division Supporter,
Thank you for your interest in supporting the California High School Rodeo Association. Currently we have almost 1,000 total members competing throughout our state, and our junior high division is just over 300 of those members. We are divided into 9 districts, and in May of each year we host
our State Finals rodeo for our Junior High School Division, this year we will be in Oakdale, California, where the top 5 from each district in the 13 rodeo events compete for their spot on the National Team (made up of the top 4 from our State Finals). We also host a light rifle shooting contest for our junior high division, where the top 4 qualify for the National Junior High Finals Rodeo held in June of each year. Each year we give awards to the top placing contestant in each event, and we award over $50,000 in scholarships to our graduating seniors who plan to further their education through trade schools, college or vocational schools.
In May, we had over 230 members compete at our state finals, vying for one of the top 4 positions to represent California at the Nation Junior High Finals Rodeo. This is the 26th year that the Junior High Division has been in California, and we have gone from sending a team of 4 members that first year, to sending an average of 45 team members to represent the Golden State of California. In 2023, our very own California cowgirl Braydee Bourdet, was the National Breakaway Champion and the All-Around Cowgirl. In 2025 we had 5 of our National Qualifiers make it back to the short go (top 20 in the Nation) and we have the Reserve Champion Boys Goat Tyer, Mason Silva!
If you are interested in a product donation rather than a monetary donation, we have that option. At our state finals we recognize our go round winners and the fastest time (or highest score) of the finals in each event, and you receive the same recognition throughout our state.
The future of our sport and the youth competitors depend on the generosity of businesses like yourself. This is the opportunity to invest in the growth and development of today’s youth, while receiving marketing exposure and recognition. We would appreciate your support of these athletes, our organization, and the sport of rodeo.

Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
