The Alliance Recreation Center is more than a gym — it is a lifeline for our rural community. As the only full-service fitness and recreation facility in Alliance, ARC provides a safe place for residents of all ages to improve their health, connect with others, and build a stronger community together. Beyond health, ARC plays an important role in strengthening the future of our community. Many rural towns face a growing challenge as young people leave in search of opportunity elsewhere. By creating engaging programs, safe spaces, and meaningful connections, ARC helps make Alliance a place where youth and families want to stay, grow, and invest in their future.  For our community, ARC represents connection, opportunity, and hope.

With 11% of local residents living in poverty and nearly 60% of elementary students coming from low-income households, access to wellness opportunities is not equal for everyone. That’s why scholarships remain at the heart of ARC’s mission. In 2025 alone, ARC provided more than $41,000 in scholarships, a 68% increase from the year before, helping families access memberships, afterschool care, summer camp, and youth recreation programs. What began as assistance for facility access has grown into a year-round lifeline supporting children, working parents, and individuals who depend on ARC programs every day.

THIS YEAR YOUR GIFT GOES TWICE AS FAR
A generous donor is matching the first $20,000 raised locally for scholarships, doubling every donation to help ensure no family is turned away due to financial barriers. Together, we can ensure financial barriers never prevent someone from belonging, participating, or improving their well-being. 

This year’s Make More Possible Campaign focuses on four essential priorities:

• Expanding scholarships for families in need

• Replacing aging cardio equipment

• Updating upper-level flooring, renovating classrooms and fitness spaces that support daily programming

Each improvement directly benefits the individuals and families who rely on ARC every day while ensuring the facility remains a strong and sustainable community resource for years to come.
