The New Jersey Folk Festival (NJFF) is the oldest and largest continuously operating folk festival in New Jersey -- and one of the oldest in the entire country! Founded in 1975 on the campus of Rutgers University, the 51st festival is organized and presented by the non-profit organization, New Jersey Folk Festival Inc. as a part of the Middlesex County 2026 Folk LIVE! series with the support of Middlesex County, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, the Rutgers Cooperative Extension E.A.R.T.H. Center.

Known for the multiple stages of music and dance performances, heritage demonstrations, children's activities, local crafters and artisans, & the food trucks, the NJFF now incorporates park tours, agricultural demonstrations, and environmental-based activities in conjunction with the E.A.R.T.H. Center and the Rutgers Master Gardener program. For 50 years, the festival has proudly presented folk music, art, & culture to the public for FREE and to continue this mission, we need your help!

As a past attendee, musician, performer, demonstrator, or volunteer, we humbly invite you to contribute to the 2026 festival. We are grateful for a donation in any amount that you may be able to contribute. No donation is too small. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization registered with the State of New Jersey, all donations are tax deductible, in accordance with all Federal and State regulations and limitations.
