Every February, the Portland Winter Light Festival transforms our city into a glowing canvas, filling winter nights with art, creativity and connection!

With more than 170 free, light-based art installations, performances and live events across 120+ locations in 2026, the Festival is free to attend, open to all ages, and woven into the Central City and neighborhoods across Portland. But while the Festival is free to experience, it is not free to produce.

Your donation directly supports the artists, performers and production crew who make this beloved citywide celebration possible, and helps pay for of permits, power, safety, equipment, venue fees, coordination and much more. Free to attend does not mean free to produce! Your gift ensures that families can bundle up and explore together, that artists are paid for their work, and that our downtown streets stay vibrant during the darkest days of the year.
