In 2023, we will be celebrating 30 years of walking alongside the scholars and educators of Grand Rapids Public Schools! We are excited to be reintroducing ourselves to you, post pandemic, as the GRPS Foundation, formerly known as the Student Advancement Foundation. We changed our name right before the world shut down and were unable to relaunch our new brand to the community.

We’ve refreshed our mission but remain steadfast and focused on equity and uplifting the scholars of GRPS. Our updated mission is to cultivate community resources to enrich educational experiences and remove barriers, so that EVERY student learns, develops and thrives.

We see a future where all GRPS scholars are inspired and supported to pursue their dreams and shape their community’s future. This vision is the guiding principle for our work today and as we imagine and prepare for the next 30 years of education. Each year we raise over 1 million dollars to support the scholars of GRPS.

As a donor, will you help us continue to ensure that no child has to pay to participate in sports and that all children have access to musical instruments, art supplies in their classrooms, and other opportunities for experiential learning?

Your support ensures that our scholars receive an outstanding education and become inspiring individuals ready to leave their mark on the world. Experiences supported by your gift will include things like:

• Enrichment field trips to Lake Michigan, museums, and live performances

• New library books and equipment for sports

• Winter boots & gloves so that kids can play outside
