Creating space for community connection and the arts with a focus on celebrating emerging, underrepresented, and multi-generational artists.

Our Story

237 Collective is a local arts and community nonprofit in Cedar Rapids, Iowa who started by hosting fashion shows in 2022.

They opened their first physical space in 2023 as a local art gallery and supply shop. Their mission and efforts quickly evolved through the events they hosted, which began filling gaps for community connection and arts engagement across generations.

Our Impact

237 Collective is now located in the Cherry Building within the New Bohemia District and continues to serve their community through gallery exhibitions, fashion shows, poetry events, open studios, workshops, vendor markets and more.

237 Collective envisions itself as the catalyst for an arts-filled community, promoting empathy, inclusivity, and opportunity.
