Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at just 14, Jakub discovered his passion for caring for children with diabetes during his first summer camp experience in North Carolina. Since then, he has transformed from a camper into a counselor, medical staff, camp physician, and now the Medical Director of Camp Morris.

Dr. Mary Ann Morris has had a profound influence on Jakub’s journey, and he feels honored to be one of the founders of Camp Morris, where he works tirelessly to provide a supportive environment for kids living with T1D. As a Pediatric Endocrinologist in Charlotte, Jakub is dedicated to helping families navigate the challenges of diabetes, all while enjoying life with his wife Marianne and their two children and dog.
