I'm honored to serve as the Board Chair for Share Our Spare, an organization committed to provide diapers and other essential items for families with children from birth to 5 years old. Share Our Spare activates community impact through empowerment, innovative solutions, and a network of partners so that children can thrive, and families can shift from crisis management to caregiving with dignity.

Now more than ever, this work is so important:

• We know that 1 in 2 children in our city have an unmet diaper need, which impacts parents’ ability to go to school or work (National Diaper Bank Network).
• The cost of diapers has increased beyond double the average inflation rates, resulting in even more financial hardship for our families. We also know that before inflation, that diapers cost 14% of our families’ income, which inhibits their ability to maintain financial stability, impacting health, housing and child well-being (Shriver Center on Poverty Law).
