2025 Last Fridays Makers Market Community Showcase Application

Last Fridays Makers Markets occur on the Old Orange County Courthouse Lawn at 104 E King St during Hillsborough's Last Fridays & the Art Walk, May - October 2025!

Please read on before submitting your application. 

Last Fridays Makers Markets are community art fairs, dedicated to showcasing: 

1. Local artists/makers, offering original, handmade work

2. A limited number of local organizations, community groups, and/or nonprofits offering good works, activities, and services to the public

3. Special arts programming & entertainment, family activities/crafts, and community collaborations, brought to you by HAC!

While the primary goal of Last Fridays is to offer accessible arts programming to the Hillsborough community, we allocate a limited number of spaces at Last Fridays Makers Markets to showcase local groups and nonprofits doing good works for the community.

Local community groups/nonprofits are required to offer an interactive component, i.e. crafts, games, demonstrations or other experiences beyond or in addition to traditional promotion, calls to action, or garnering support/awareness for a cause.

Please note the following:

• The nonrefundable one-time application fee for 2025 is $20.00. Pricing is subject to change in future programming years.
• When submitting your application fee, you have an opportunity to tip the Givebutter platform. If you would like opt out of this, please reset the suggested tip to 0% before submitting your payment.
• We do not accept payment in the form of checks.

Regarding political candidates, affiliates, and organizations, HAC has made the decision to no longer allow political groups based on the following criteria:​

• A candidate or their campaign affiliate running for an elected office.
• Any groups representing specific political parties or candidates.

HAC reserves the right of discretionary choice regarding whether to allow any vendors and participants in HAC events based on alignment with the values and mission of the organization. The utmost priority of HAC is that participating groups meet the criteria of the application and align with our goals for each program.

Equity and equal representation are important to us, and we recognize the difficulty to do so fairly among political groups with the limited space we have available at these events. Accordingly, we have made this decision to limit political participation.
