Lights in the Parkway

Due to significant vandalism on December 13, Lights in the Parkway has closed until further notice. Damage includes port-a-potties pushed into the river, bent light poles and posts, and hundreds of crushed light bulbs. The Allentown Parks and Recreation Department is assessing the damage, which will be difficult and costly to repair this season. While it is not known whether Lights in the Parkway will return for 2025, we do know that to keep the tradition going in the future the holiday light displays need to be replaced.  In addition, this annual holiday tradition generates revenue that supports Parks and Recreation programs throughout the year.
