About Adirondack Regional Theatre (ART)

From a single summer show at the Lions Club Bandshell to annual productions at the Strand Center Theatre, Adirondack Regional Theatre (ART) has been a creative force in the North Country for over 25 years.

A vibrant community of artists, ART brings together people of all ages and backgrounds to produce high-quality musicals, dramas, comedies, Shakespeare, murder mysteries, and youth theatre. We offer opportunities both on and off stage, along with immersive summer and winter camps for young performers ages 8–18.

Our mission goes beyond entertainment—we’re committed to nurturing the next generation of artists. ART provides a safe, supportive space where kids can build confidence, creativity, and life skills like collaboration and time management through the transformative power of theatre.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, ART is proud to be supported by local and state grant programs, including the New York State Council on the Arts, Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts, and others. We are active members of TANYS and the American Association of Community Theatre.
