It’s that time of year again when we’ll be partying with the animals and kicking up our boots, hollerin’ and dancin’! We’ll have music, a comedian, and inspirational speakers. And the food — how about some homemade vegan ribs (even piggies love them!) and some down-home potato salad and more?

All this and more to support our incredible growth as an interspecies community sanctuary for farmed animals, youth, wildlife, and YOU!

🎤 Turn to the stage and have a laugh with comedienne Jennie McNulty as she performs a standup routine and leads our Fund-a-Need, and hear about our latest initiatives from founder Miyoko Schinner.

Meet our Band, The Baybillies with Caller Evie Ladin

Playing traditional folk songs for square dances, caller and bandleader Evie Ladin and The Baybillies will provide a jolly and jubilant sonic atmosphere that even the shyest of dancers won't be able to resist. "The polyrhythmic heat of Evie Ladin’s clawhammer banjo, resonant voice, real stories and rhythmic dance have been heard from A Prairie Home Companion to Lincoln Center, Celtic Connections to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Brazil to Bali. A prolific creator and gracious facilitator, Evie grew up steeped in traditional folk music/dance up and down the East Coast, bringing a syncretic vision to new work while holding fast to the roots."

Meet our Comedian, Jennie McNulty

The New England Blade named Jennie McNulty, “One of the premiere comedians in the country.” The Examiner called her an, “infectiously energetic, remarkably deft comic with a warm disarming style and some of the best improv skills in the business.” Curve magazine rates her among the “Top 10 lesbian comics.” Her playfully sarcastic style wins over every crowd the moment she takes the stage.
In the Vegan World, Jennie has also worked with the "Educated Choices Program," bringing a message of healthy eating into schools. And, using her Master's degree from the University of Michigan in Kinesiology, she has developed a corporate health/comedy program helping to explain the vegan in your life to you! For fun, Jennie played 15 seasons on a professional women’s tackle football team and is now their game day announcer.

General Admission Tickets - $125 / Kids (Ages 3-12) $50

Children under two are free.

Attire: Dress for potentially HOT weather! Sanctuary Chic, Flexible Waistbands, Vegan Cowboy and Cowgirl boots, Dancing Shoes (prepare for uneven, dusty ground!)

Parking: Please carpool if possible. We will notify guests prior to event for additional shuttle service from downtown Nicasio in case of overflow parking. Please contact us directly for handicap accommodations.
