Why We Need Your Support

Nana Baby Children’s Home has always been a safe haven for children who find themselves in difficult situations, but our mission is growing. We are working to expand our services to include a teenage population who desperately need care and shelter. With more teens facing challenges, we need to broaden our capacity to serve these young individuals and provide them with the support they need to rebuild their lives.

How Your Donation Helps

Immediate Support:

1. Repairs to our fence (damaged by Hurricane Ernesto)

2. A major roof repair on the back of the house

All additional funds will support our new initiative to create a dedicated home for teenagers in need. While Nana Baby Home provides care for children 12 and under, teens require a separate space of their own. Right now, there is nowhere on St. Thomas to house teens in crisis. We're close to securing a HOUSE for them, thanks to the support of our local legislature. However, there are still significant costs to operate two homes.

Why do teens need a separate home?

1. Older children require different supervision: Teens face unique challenges and need specialized care.

2. Teens shouldn’t room with younger children: To ensure appropriate boundaries, they need a safe space of their own.

3. Teen behavior can influence younger children: If there are behavioral concerns, the impact on younger children could be harmful.

4. Teens need more space: They require larger living accommodations to feel comfortable and supported.
