For over two and a half years, Empowering Partners has been looking for the right time and the right set of circumstances to launch our evangelism program. We had some effective conversations within our group of friends and colleagues but, our large outreaches into different communities raised large numbers, but no real opportunity to foster relationships and bring people to truly follow Christ. So what were we waiting for? We knew that it would require better language skills, the community's trust and acceptance, and the space to launch a fledgling ministry. So quite some time ago we started small morning group bible study with the women, and after a while we added all staff and employees. It was in those early moments that we recognized how greatly we had underestimated what they knew to be true about Christ and the promise of salvation found only through faith in Him.

Ahhhh, but God knew. Within a short time in this past September, God radically changed our ability to meet the needs of the community. As many of you have learned Pastor Samuel Succes is now on staff at Empowering Partners serving here in Tibo and living on site. In October he laid out our youth, adult, and bible study programs. After four weeks we are so impressed with the desire the people of Tibo have to learn the truth about Christ. They are open to and gaining new knowledge about the Gospel. We have 70 youth and 20-30 adults joining us on Saturday and Sundays. We are experiencing phenomenal growth and we are already making plans to expand our programs.

Earlier last month EPI purchased and received 40 Bib La, (Haitian Bible) and 22 used folding chairs . The math is easy and conclusive... We need more resources to purchase 50 used chairs (@ $19 ea), 40 more Bibles, (Haitian Bible @$15 ea), a mini projector, ($200), 40 hymnals, (@ $ ea), and other miscellaneous items for crafts, snacks, and basic supplies.
