The last time we spoke to you about this matter, our sister in Dubai was mired in the bureaucratic nightmare which restrains countless women every year from seeking recourse. We were stunned, humbled, and emboldened by your prompt response to her crisis-- it was because of your solidarity and generosity that we managed to ensure our sister retained her identification papers, work permit, and the basic necessities of life; shelter, sustenance, and medicine.

We ask you again to heed our call on her account. Our sister, in her relentless efforts to lend assistance to other women like her, women in worse situations than her, raped and violated women forcibly rendered homebound through sexual, psychological, and physical trauma, has been made to deal with predatory debtors and pimps on behalf of the women she has so bravely chosen to take responsibility for.

With the difference in currency-power and the not-insignificant number of feminists and their allies we have had the privilege of becoming acquainted with, it is our belief that we have the ability to liberate these women from the vicious cycle of financial insecurity and the profound risks of being forced into proximity with the dealings of gulf flesh-traders.
