Mission Statement

Living in Freedom Together, Inc. (LIFT) is a Survivor-led organization where Survivors and allies work together to abolish prostitution. Our mission is to provide resources, advocacy, and support to empower individuals to exit and recover from the impacts of the sex trade, and to end systems of prostitution.

Third Annual Recovery Retreat

We are excited to announce that LIFT will be hosting its Third Annual Recovery Retreat this year!

Jana’s Place participants and LIFT Staff will once again embark on a transformative and healing trip to promote community, recovery, and access to joy.

LIFT will cover the cost of travel accommodations for all the residents and staff at Jana’s Place including food, transportation, and scheduled activities. Embarking on this adventure together will go a long way in reminding Survivors that they are capable of so much more than their exploiters ever let them believe. Jana's Place staff will be traveling with us and facilitating team-building activities to support lifelong connections with fellow JP residents and LIFT as an organization. Staff and residents will be placed into groups and provided tasks to accomplish together, such as meal planning and preparation, and leading group sessions.

Self-care, independence, and connection to community are vital to maintaining recovery and being exited from prostitution. It is just as important as being able to access resources such as healthcare, housing, shelter, and food. The Annual Recovery Retreat will introduce Survivors to travel, community, learning, and hope. If they can see and experience things that most take for granted, they can envision a life worth living and continue the difficult journey of exiting the sex trade.

LIFT reserves the right to redistribute funds where they are most needed.
