At Pacific Island Knowledge 2 Action Resources (PIK2AR), we are committed to delivering culturally relevant education, resources, and opportunities that help reduce poverty, provide safety, and promote self-reliance for Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and marginalized communities.

In 2023, we supported 1,508 families, addressing urgent needs like feeding the unsheltered, running the Cannon Food Bank, which serves 800 families weekly, and ensuring people in need find safety and critical resources. With 18% of Pacific Islanders in Utah living below the poverty lin and 6% of Utah’s homeless population being Pacific Islanders, your help can make a real difference.

We need your support to continue offering life-changing programs like KAVA Talks, which facilitates weekly online peer support groups and weekly face-to-face sessions in Utah's State Prison. KAVA Talks focuses on violence intervention and healing, redefining the attributes of a Warrior to emphasize protection, compassion, and non-violence over aggression. Your donations allow us to reach more people and create lasting change in their lives.

Over the last two years, we've helped increase income for business owners from under-resourced communities by over $599,000 through microloans, loans, grants, and pitch competitions. This economic boost has helped build businesses, create jobs, and empower our communities to become self-reliant.

- $10 a month keeps the Cannon Food Bank running, feeding 800 families twice a month.

- $25 a month supports our Breaking Bread program, providing meals and essential resources to 150 unsheltered individuals monthly.

- $50 a month funds a 9-week Financial Literacy class that transforms lives by teaching financial independence, both in the community and in Utah State Prisons.

- $100 a month provides a Case Manager, Community Health Worker, or Victim Advocate for a month, offering critical support to those who need it most.
