Every $1 = 4 meals donated Hi, This year I started a chapter of Fresh Opportunities to address food waste and hunger in NYC. Witnessing my school discard excess lunches every day, while encountering food-insecure individuals on my way home from school, inspired me to empower high school students to package their school’s left over food and give it to those in need. In my school alone, in just over 2 months this year, we've rescued 1,000+ meals for local community fridges, but with students in 23+ schools eager to join, we lack resources to purchase food packaging supplies.
