After 27 years of circling the Decatur Civic Center ice rink and several breakdowns over the last few years, it is time to retire our Zamboni Model 500 ice resurfacer and replace it with a new, all-electric Zamboni Model 552AC. This fully electric model, powered by a bank of rechargable lithion-ion batteries is projected to serve another 20 plus years.
