The mission of The P.U.P.A Project aims to alleviate period poverty by providing essential menstrual aid and support to menstruators. Our focus is on empowerment by guiding menstruators through the pivotal transition of puberty and the early stages of their menstrual journey. We advance this work through our key pillars: access & aid, education & awareness, community outreach, and advocacy & policy.
Every menstruator deserves dignity, access, and empowerment.
At The P.U.P.A. Project, we are reimagining what menstrual equity looks like in Mississippi and beyond, starting with education, hygiene support, and safe, affirming spaces.
Whether it’s your first period or your fiftieth, navigating menstrual health should never be a source of shame, confusion, or discomfort. That’s why we show up with care kits, conversation, and community.
Menstrual hygiene and care kits are distributed year-round
Educational programs and youth workshops centered on menstrual health, puberty, and self-esteem
Empowerment-based outreach events like Back to Flow Bash, Girl Let’s Talk About Periods Camp, and more
Community engagement and awareness initiatives to reduce stigma and expand access to care
No amount is too small; every dollar helps us show up and supply dignity.
