We at BBM are excited about our first year!! We realized the immense need to provide choreographers an educational opportunity to produce full-production numbers in an effort to develop and grow for future work. From there, our mission developed:

Empowering the future of Broadway by providing a no-fee showcase for emerging choreographers to present full-length musical numbers. We bridge the gap in musical theatre training by giving performers the opportunity to rehearse and perform their triple-threat skills.

This year, we will be hosting a showcase at 7:00 pm on April 28th, 2025 at Gibney Studio Theater (280 Broadway). Up and coming choreographers will present full-length Musical Theater numbers, under the mentorship of Choreographer Mentors from the industry. Work will be presented for two nights in a row. The first night (April 27th), our industry consultants (select industry professionals, producers, directors, and choreographers) will be invited to come see the performances and provide written and/or verbal feedback to each creative team.

The following day, each cast will be able to spend time in the theater space to workshop and apply notes given by consultants. Then, that evening, the cast will perform their final pieces in a showcase open to the public.

Each piece will be professionally filmed at both performances for creatives and performers to have.

This opportunity is free to participate, but audience members will need to purchase tickets to attend the performance.
