Thanks to all your generous donations, she had her surgery and is recovering in a cage to minimize use of her repaired leg. The fracture was more severe than previously thought. That leg bone was badly shattered and needed bone graft material so the plate and screws could hold everything securely in place. Then, hopefully the bone will heal.

The surgery cost $5,169. We will cover the additional cost, but more donations would really help, please.

She and her three littermates were found in the garden of a rented house. The kind resident, with the help of neighbors, got them all spayed and neutered and fed them twice a day. She begged the shelter to accept them for adoption, but they were turned away. They lived as outdoor cats until little Porrang was discovered hardly able to walk, obviously hit by a car and in great pain. She was rushed to an emergency vet where X-rays showed a fractured femur and pelvic bones. The only answer was very expensive surgery. Or euthanasia.

Her feeders asked Peninsula Catworks for funding to pay for surgery. We got an estimate (see below) for $4,764. That is a huge chunk out of our little fund dedicated to helping un-owned cats and kittens get the vet care they deserve. We need your donations urgently, please. Whatever you feel you can spare. Every gift helps. And please spread the word to friends, colleagues, social media, email.

Porrang will be fostered during her recovery and then her rescuers will try to find her a forever home. She is a sweet, affectionate, gentle little girl. If you know of anyone who might want a loving kitty to cuddle, please let us know. We plan to list her for adoption on our website as soon as she is all better.
