With the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of our Down Syndrome-Autism Connection families have had to cope with even more isolation, loss of outside services/supports, and worry over their family's health. Every day, with no end in sight, they wake up to face 24/7 care giving duties without relief, leaving them riddled with exhaustion. We want our families who are struggling with this reality to know we care and that we are here to support them.

October is Down Syndrome Awareness month! This October, the Down Syndrome - Autism Connection is hosting the 3-21 Caring and Sharing Challenge to honor and support families undergoing extreme challenges during this global pandemic. And, as a special thank you for participating, the top 3 teams who raise the most will receive beautiful spa gift baskets.

The Down Syndrome – Autism Connection’s Story

We are the only non-profit organization in the US that has been providing education and support to families who have a loved one with co-occurring Down Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder since 2007. We work collaboratively with parents, educators and health care providers to find real solutions to every day challenges.

These include printed educational materials, welcome kits for new families, conference workshops, webinars and on-line family support.
