Down Syndrome alone presents challenges, when we received the added diagnosis of Autism, our lives were turned upside down. It was hard - we no longer “fit” in with the DS groups. The Autism groups were not really “us” either. Then, one day I discovered the Down Syndrome Autism Connection and it felt like home! I am so completely grateful for this organization and the other families here.
