GUELAGUETZA SONOMA COUNTY 2025

We Insist That We Exist. The Guelaguetza Sonoma County has been celebrated for 14 years. This year the Guelaguetza Sonoma 2025 will be held in the Healdsburg Plaza on Sunday, July 27th.

It is an Oaxacan festival that year after year, brings together Oaxacans residing in California to stay connected to our roots and traditions. This Celebration it has helped us continue our healing resilience process, allowing us to pass on our roots and traditions to our children and to the people who have decided to be part of this process. Indigenous artists participate in this celebration, representing their dances, paintings, music, and the creation of handicrafts. Our participating communities that are part of this festival are: the Muxe community (LGBTQ+), the Afro-Oaxacan community, and our different Indigenous communities working in the fields of California, as well as some folkloric groups, and those that cannot be missed: the music band, mostly made up of children born in this beautiful country, but with an Oaxacan identity.
