I love the sound of that!

My job with Perinton Ambulance began in whirlwind fashion. I was hired, equipped, given my uniform, and cut loose from "training" in less than two months. That's pretty quick, considering most trainees have at least twice that time to prepare. But I felt needed - wanted - and was ready. That was April 2013.

Over the next few years, I kept pace with my coworkers, helping hundreds of people a year. I was ready to go, day or night; I didn't need much rest back then. I got a day off here or there, but I was new and enthusiastic. Even though most people weren't always happy to see me...

2017 was my YEAR! In the spring I carried two new babies to the hospital...come to think of it, it was the ONLY year I carried new babies. That's pretty awesome. I was so proud. That year I helped on 1,200 jobs - A HUNDRED A MONTH! - and was crowned "Call Champion." I eeked out three more jobs than my buddy 3469.

2018 wasn't too bad either, but I started really slowing down last year. For some reason, I couldn't stay healthy. I knew I was starting to wear down. I knew my bosses would be looking to bring in a new recruit soon, and I was right.

So as I face my "open highway," I have one final request: give the new guy your support.

It's gonna take some help getting him up to speed, but I just know I can depend on you to give him what he needs.
