This #GivingTuesday we are teaming up with Paradise Board Company and SUP Pups to support a special member of our mental health community and her service pup through paddleboarding. You can win your very own paddleboard by helping us achieve our goal!

Dakota was born with a genetic condition called Trisomy X Syndrome. From an early age she had gross motor, learning, and speech delays, anxiety, seizures, panic attacks, and asthma attacks. She has been in speech and physical therapy since age 2. Her dog April was fostered in 2017 and they fell in love. Shortly after, April was trained to be Dakota's service dog and it changed her life. She was no longer afraid to go to school, and felt more confident. April helps keep her anxiety and panic attacks to a minimum, and is trained to respond to them, along with her seizures when they do happen.

Dakota and April, with the help of her mom Alix, have recently discovered paddleboarding as a form of bonding, confidence boosting, and supplemental therapy for Dakota's mental and physical health complications. Their story is so heartwarming and inspiring and we are here for it!

We want to help our amazing duo in their journey and healing together on the water, but we can't achieve this goal without your support!

The first $500 raised, will provide Dakota and her pup April, lessons specific to paddleboarding with dogs through SUP Pups, and supply them with their own Paradise Board Company paddleboard to continue to use for their own therapeutic purposes. Any funds raised after that will go directly toward our very own paddleboarding program we plan to launch next year!

To help maximize our fundraising, we will be raffling off a Paradise Board Company paddleboard to one lucky winner!

Earn raffle entries 1 of 2 ways:

1) Simply donate to the campaign. For every $5 donation, you will receive 1 entry into our raffle (i.e. $25 = 5 entries, $50 = 10 entries, $100 = 20 entries, etc.)

2) Earn more entries by creating your own fundraiser and help fundraise on our behalf. Every $5 donated to your fundraiser will earn you an additional entry. Your donors will also receive raffle entries based on their donations. Simply click the "Fundraise" button toward the top of this page, below our campaign banner, create your fundraiser, and share with family and friends to increase your chances of winning!

Donations/entries are open now, through Giving Tuesday, November 30 @ 11:59pm PST. Winner will be determined and notified directly Wednesday, December 1.
