This summer as an intern at Teaching for Change I've had the opportunity to support the mission of building a better future through social justice in the classroom. I've had so much fun this summer working on making resources for the Zinn Education Project and Teaching Central America. As a student-teacher in the process of getting licensed to teach secondary history, I came across Teaching for Change lesson plans and resources during my teacher training and experienced first hand how helpful these resources can be for teachers. I've loved supporting the community further by creating some of these resources. Join me in my support for Teaching for Change!
I'm fundraising for Teaching for Change through powerlifting! I've been a competitive powerlifter since I was 16 years old and currently represent Smith College on the collegiate circuit. I'll be competing on July 27, 2024. If you're thinking of supporting, please consider donating 10 cents per kilogram that I lift in total at the meet (for context my current total is 330 kgs = $33), or a flat donation is always welcome.
A $35 donation can help connect Teaching for Change's work with educators and $50 donation can help promote people's history lessons.
