The Joliet Islamic Center (EIN: 99-1936062) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations made through this campaign are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Primary Campaign Purpose This fundraising campaign is principally directed toward securing the acquisition of a permanent property to serve as the first dedicated masjid for the Muslim community of Joliet, Illinois, with a critical purchase deadline prior to the start of June 2026.

Broader Fund Allocation While the primary and intended use of funds raised through this campaign is the acquisition of said property, donated funds are held as general operational funds of the Joliet Islamic Center and may be allocated at the discretion of organizational leadership to meet any of the following needs, as required:

• Current Masjid Maintenance and Upkeep — Including repairs, utilities, janitorial services, facility improvements, and all costs associated with maintaining a safe and functional worship environment for the community.

• Staffing and Operational Expenses — Including compensation for imams, religious educators, and administrative personnel, as well as the day-to-day operating costs necessary to sustain the organization's programs and services.

• Future Property Acquisition and Organizational Growth — Including deposits, closing costs, legal fees, renovation expenses, and other costs related to the purchase or development of masjid facilities, as well as investments in programs and infrastructure that advance the long-term mission of the Joliet Islamic Center.

Unrestricted Gift Policy Unless a donor has entered into a specific written restricted gift agreement with the Joliet Islamic Center at the time of donation, all contributions are treated as unrestricted general funds. While the Joliet Islamic Center fully intends to direct your gift toward its property acquisition goal, the organization retains the fiduciary discretion to allocate funds where they are most needed to fulfill its charitable mission.
