My very existence is nothing short of a miracle. A miracle, along with the incredible strength and resilience of all four of my grandparents: Terezia and Max Fossner, and Ella and Karl Pollak.
This year (2025) marks the 80th anniversary of all four of my grandparents being liberated from concentration camps during the Holocaust. They lost their families, their homes, witnessed unspeakable horrors, yet somehow found the strength to start their lives anew. And even more incredible, is that they never became the hatred that they witnessed and lived through. They were all kind, generous, and funny. They were open-minded, thoughtful, and forgiving. And that is why I made it my mission to share their stories - in the hope that we can learn lessons of acceptance and resilience, and ensure they are never forgotten.
In memory of my grandparents, please join my fundraising campaign to ensure that I can continue to share their stories as part of 3GNY with the next generation. Any donation is much appreciated.
