I am fundraising for 3GNY to honor my grandparents, Philip and Ruth Markowicz, both survivors of the Holocaust. While Ruth didnt speak much of her experiences, Philip ultimately decided he would tell his family's story. This culminated in Philip writing a memoir, "My Three Lives" which documents his life before, during, and after the Holocaust. From a tiny village in Poland, to the Lodz Ghetto, Auschwitz, and death marches, Philip lost his entire family, except his younger brother Henry. I am honored to tell Philips story to classrooms across the New York tri-state area through 3GNY.
