Fueling the Fire: Budgeting When Money Is Tight

Most budgeting advice assumes extra money, stable income, and no emergencies. This class is different.

Fueling the Fire is a real-life budgeting workshop for anyone who has ever felt broke, overwhelmed, or unsure how to make money stretch. We’ll talk honestly about budgeting when the math doesn’t always work, building small savings, grocery strategies that actually help, and using resources like food pantries, WIC, utility assistance, and government benefits as stepping stones to stability — not something to feel ashamed of.

This workshop is about small sparks that create real change. You don’t need a lot of money to start building control, confidence, and momentum.

Your $1 donation to The EMBER Project includes:
• A practical budgeting worksheet
• A participant handout you can keep and reuse
• Access to the live virtual session

You are absolutely welcome to donate more than $1 if you’re able. We intentionally kept the cost low so this workshop is accessible to everyone, because learning life-changing skills should never be out of reach.

About The EMBER Project:
The EMBER Project supports early and young mothers through education, career development, financial literacy, and mentoring. We believe potential is like an ember — it can be ignored or smothered, or it can be nurtured into something powerful. Every donation helps us keep that spark alive.
