This summer, The Kiva Center is gearing up for another season of unforgettable adventure, hands-on learning, and deep connection to the natural world through our Summer Skills Programs. From wilderness survival to creek exploration and herbal foraging, our programs are designed to empower youth with practical skills, confidence, and a deep reverence for nature.

But this year, something special happened.

We were recently approached by two community organizations hoping to secure scholarships for 10 teens and 5 elementary-aged kids from low-income, underserved communities. These young people are eager to join our programs — they just need a little help getting there.

That’s where you come in.

As a past supporter, you know the magic that happens at The Kiva Center — how the land, the learning, and the community work together to create experiences that can truly shape a young life. We’re asking for your help to raise $5,000 to provide full scholarships for these 15 incredible kids.

Your support can give a child the chance to:
🌿 Learn how to build a shelter and filter water in the wild
🔥 Start a fire using only natural materials
🏹 Practice archery and aidless navigation
💧 Explore creek ecosystems while developing confidence and survival skills
🌱 Forage for edible and medicinal plants and make healing remedies

Every dollar goes directly toward getting these kids out into nature, where they’ll not only learn critical life skills but also discover their own inner strength, creativity, and resilience.
