I am Niantic- Narragansett and a resident of Rhode Island. This is and will always be the land of my people. I come with this campaign to reignite the facts that the state of Rhode Island is erasing my people and our history. Many people in this state cannot imagine standing on this land where the Narragansett people once stood, where their stories and tribulations are etched into the very soil beneath our own two feet. But the small number of people like me who can say they’re standing on the same land their ancestors lived is an important statement, representing our people is a movement, a powerful call to action echoing through the cities of Rhode Island. But this isn't just about money; it's about restoring what was taken—the erasure of history, the suppression of culture and the destruction of our ways of living. This is a plea for acknowledgment of the profound injustices suffered by the Narragansett Tribe and to

demand reparations as an act of liberation, a reclamation of identity and heritage. It's about empowering the Narragansett people to heal, to rebuild, and to ensure that their story is never forgotten. It's a call for Rhode Island to honor its obligations and embrace a future where justice and reconciliation prevail. All we can ask for is for each city within Rhode Island to uphold its responsibility to confront the past and pave the way for a more equitable future.
