The STARability Foundation's mission is to transform the lives of individuals with disabilities through social, vocational and educational connections to the community, while strengthening awareness and respect for individuals with abilities.

STARability fills a services void that exists for 300 individuals in Collier County by opening a world of possibilities to them. We advocate for inclusion through employment and community-based programs, provide life-long learning opportunities, offer social experiences and connect STARability participants, their families and caregivers with resources and support.

The structure, consistency and community that our programs offer our STARs ended on March 16 when we suspended programs because of the COVID-19 outbreak. However, we quickly tailored our face-to-face programs to virtual platforms. In April, participants engaged in 1,791 virtual experiences.

Our STARs continue to shine a light on their ability, not their disability, by learning and engaging with their community--despite COVID-19.

Your support is vital because it means that our STARs can continue participating in innovative virtual classes and activities now during these difficult times and when our programs resume in person.
