Hi! My name is Carlee and I joined City Island Rowing just about a year ago. I was born and raised in Hawaii and moved to New York hoping to further pursue my rowing career leading me to CIR. It’s crazy to think that I walked into my first practice only a year ago, but from that very moment, I felt welcomed by the entire team and immediately knew this was the place for me. Essentially, they are my second family 5,000 miles away from my first one. This club helped me grow so much both as a person and coxswain and I will be forever grateful for that.
Next Fall I will be furthering my academic and rowing career at Washington State University. I wouldn't have this opportunity without the support of my CIR family.
On March 2nd, CIR will be hosting their annual Ergathon Fundraiser. The money from this goes to maintaining and upgrading our top of the line equipment. With your help, this Spring we will be getting a new dock installed which will make our launching and landing process at the beginning and end of each practice so much smoother and a lot dryer!
I'm so lucky to have this opportunity to give back to this amazing team, and would greatly appreciate your support in doing so.
Please note that City Island Rowing is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and 100% of your donation is fully tax-deductible.
