Hi! My name is Elizabeth and I’m a sophomore at Bronxville High School. 

When I was first introduced to City Island Rowing last winter, I immediately knew that this team was something special. I’ve played many sports throughout my life but had never before encountered a program with such a strong sense of camaraderie and interconnectedness felt even as the newest athlete. I’ve had an incredible experience at City Island — I have met so many wonderful people and become a much stronger, disciplined person — and can’t wait for what the future holds!

Every year, our team holds an "Ergathon" fundraiser to cover the costs of our equipment; each oar, racing shell, and erg we use has been financed by past fundraisers. We are especially excited about this year's Ergathon, which will fund an upgraded launch dock — a long-awaited project that will completely transform our practices! To thank you for your generosity, my teammates and I will spend a grueling 60-90 minutes on the ergs (our “sweat equity”) on Sunday, March 2nd. We hope you know how much we appreciate your support!
