Hi Central Coast Community Members!

Consider sponsoring a Monterey High student musician's family member to attend this concert to see their talented student perform alongside Broken Social Scene and Edwin Huizinga. Every $50 donation buys a ticket for a family member, who might not otherwise be able, to attend the concert.

Broken Social Scene, the Juno Award-winning Canadian indie rock collective, will headline the third annual Golden Folk Benefit Concert at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Golden State Theatre in downtown Monterey. Monterey High School music students will perform alongside the band, and 100 percent of ticket revenue will go directly to the Monterey High School Music Boosters.

The Monterey High School Music Boosters is a 501(c)(3) organization supporting a program of roughly 200 student musicians. It funds instruments, repairs, equipment and uniforms, and provides scholarships for adjudicated festival trips.

If you are interested in joining us again, general admission tickets on sale NOW, priced from $50 to $160 through the Golden State Theatre
