On summer solstice weekend — the longest stretch of light all year — our athletes will do something extraordinary.

For 48 hours, they will run 4 miles every 4 hours.
Twelve runs.
Forty-eight total miles.

Through the night.
Through fatigue.
Through doubt.

The 4x4x48 Challenge, inspired by David Goggins, is more than an endurance event. It’s a test of character. A celebration of community. A powerful reminder that we can do hard things — especially when we do them together.

But this isn’t just about miles.

This is about expansion.

Expansion of courage.
Expansion of brotherhood and sisterhood.
Expansion of impact across Alaska.

We are running to support the First Rate Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to sowing seeds of goodness throughout our state. Since 2018, the Foundation has invested nearly $700,000 into local communities, providing direct financial support to individuals and families during their darkest hours.

Our 2026 goal is bold and focused: $48,000.

Every mile run under the solstice sky represents hope.
