Project Sankofa's S.E.E.N (Sisters Empowerment and Employment Network) program believes in fostering sustainable ecosystems of growth for Black women in education by building a supportive networks that nurture financial, mental and emotional growth.

🥅 Our goal is to raise $3,000, with a commitment of donating a portion of the profits to self-care scholarships specifically designed for Black women in the education field.

🧖‍♀️ Every donation brings us closer to creating meaningful opportunities for these inspiring women in education to prioritize their well-being while continuing to make a profound impact in their communities. In addition to the self-care scholarships we will be using the donated funds to host free networking events for our S.E.E.N program.

FAQs for the Fundraisers

How are winners selected?

Winners will be chosen through a random draw from the pool of nominees after the conclusion of the fundraising campaign.

Is there a minimum donation required to nominate someone?

There is no minimum donation requirement for nominations. However, we encourage generosity as increased contributions directly support our mission to empower Black women in education.

Can I nominate myself?

Yes, self-nominations are welcome. To be eligible, you must make a donation and be actively involved in the education sector.

What qualifies as being part of the education field?

The education field encompasses a broad range of roles aimed at furthering or supporting community education. Eligible participants include, but are not limited to, educators, teaching assistants, administrative staff, counselors, custodians, curriculum developers, behavioral therapists in education, nutrition specialists, program directors, camp counselors, social workers, and community organizers focused on educational initiatives. If your work contributes to the educational advancement of our community and you identify as a Black woman, you qualify.
