For over 25 years, members of the Ludouvicum Council 4663 of Knights of Columbus have served up more than 40,000 lunchtime meals for the needy in the New Orleans area.

Once a month on the third Wednesday, The Bucktown Boys (as the members who prepare and serve the meals are known) gather at the Council’s Hall around 8 am to prepare a hot meal of New Orleans Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya. The prepared food is delivered steaming hot in big pots. The Boys take over the kitchen at the St. Joseph Rebuild Center which is a coalition of Catholic and other faith-based organizations serving the Canal Street corridor. Individual meals are packaged, and at 1:00pm, served up to the needy. Lots of smiles and thank you’s make it all worthwhile.

We are asking for donations to support this worthwile activity. All donations will be much appreciated.
